Perfect...

Gain Reduction is excellent on vocals. If you need your vocals to cut through, Gain Reduction delivers. It's easy to dial in and will add that magic sauce that's everyone wants.

What I want… but .. there’s one thing

It does it’s thing, and does it really good BUT the lack of attack, release and ratio was making it useless for me on a vocal with strong sibliance and some mouth clicks and sounds it did not work at all. Just maked all those sounds very prominent. Sure I could treat those thing before the JS plugin but then I rather go with my usual way to deal with problems like that .

I am beyond happy with what Gain Reduction does to my voice. I previously had a number of different compressors on my vocal chain and now I spend a lot of time just using GR instead.

Blown Away by this plugin

Just WOW, completely blown away by Gain Reduction. The results are as good as they claim. I hardly write reviews unless a plugin is awesome and this one is. Seamlessly controls dynamics and adds all the fundamental processing needed for a great vocal vocal in just one plugin. I think I'm going to miss my other plugins now as this is going to replace most of them as my first choice. So far I've only tested on vocals but based on it's capabilities I think it will also work wonders on other instruments as well.

Simple and easy to use , you can get plenty of compression and dirt or go subtle , I like the body slider nice for thickening the source and can help with
Unwanted sibilance , possibly keeping
A de easer or surgical EQ out of the chain .
