I actually really like the sound of this clipper, but the 1 thing that would make me rave about it is no visual to how much (or if at all) of the waveform is being clipped. A lot of how I use clipping is just shave off the tiny inconsistencies in peak transients of drums on the buss to make the other gain reduction stages work less hard. When I use this I have to either rely 100% on my ears and hope it’s doing what I need - or use a waveform analysis plugin after (which currently the only one I have is another clipper so I might as well just use that). I really like JST products and have been a longtime supporter of his businesses because he puts very good sounding tools in the hands of those with less of a budget … that being said I think if a V2 came out with a simple waveform window, and a threshold line and like a different colored indicator of what is being clipped off this would sell like hotcakes. For now I predominantly use this when it’s less important sources and I use the other clipper for busses.
